Art display opens at Luther

"Order X Chaos," an exhibit by design artists Bradley Coulter and Vinicius Lima, will go on display starting Monday in the Kristin Wigley-Fleming Fine Arts Gallery in the Center for the Arts on the Luther College campus.  The exhibit is open to the public with no charge for admission.

Coulter and Lima take several design principles and techniques used to create order in content and apply them toward a contrary idea in an effort to understand if these tools can bring chaos to the orderly visual communications we encounter every day. To investigate this, diagrams, computer programs, classic grids from design history, color and topography are manipulated and combined in experimental ways to create new images and content open to interpretation.
