Downtown Decorah named one of the 50 best small town downtowns in America

Decorah has gotten another national honor.  The website "Best Choice Reviews" has named Decorah as having the #30 "Best Small Town Downtowns" in the country.

The article (http://www.bestchoicereviews.org/50-best-small-town-downtowns-in-america/) says "The small town of Decorah is home to excellent shopping. There are a number of local boutiques with interesting wares such as Norwegian fashions, locally produced soy and beeswax candles and much more. There are also a number of more modern shops and restaurants."

The article also notes that Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum "is the most comprehensive collection of Norwegian-American artifacts in the world."

The article also listed Lanesboro, Minnesota and Spring Green, Wisconsin among the top 50 small town downtowns.  Decorah was the only Iowa town to make the list.  Montpelier, Vermont was named the #1 small town downtown.
