The Turkey River Recreational Corridor Board of Directors has formed a new partnership with Northeast Iowa RC&D.

"(RC&D's) experience with natural resource conservation, trails development, event planning, tourism and publication design makes them the perfect fit for the Turkey River Recreational Corridor," said TRRC President Vicki Rowland.

The goal of the Turkey River Recreational Corridor is to create land and water trails, thereby connecting the communities of Clermont, Elgin and Elkader in Fayette and Clayton counties.

The TRRC is run by a 10 member board of directors with representatives from a variety of organizations including the county boards of supervisors, county conservation boards, members of the communities, and economic development.

The long range goal of the group is to connect Minnesota trails to the Mississippi River Trail through the Turkey River Trail
