HSNEI is a finalist for a $15,000 grant

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa has been selected as a finalist in the Community Aces Challenge sponsored by Isle of Capri Casinos.

HSNEI is competing to win up to $15,000.  The winners are determined by on-line voting at http://www.communityaceschallenge.com/. Search "Humane Society of Northeast Iowa" and click "vote".  The contest ends March 20th.
 
The grant would allow HSNEI to turn the two acres behind the Adoption Center into a prairie with multiple walking paths for volunteers to take dogs on walks in an attractive, safe, and stimulating environment. Part of the grant would be used to construct a larger fenced in area for the dogs to run and play.
