Five Decorah residents are honored by Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce

2014 Nordic Fest Board President Randy Schissel was honored by the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday as the 2014 Volunteer of the Year.

Meanwhile Decorah City Clerk Wanda Hemesath was recognized for her community service for her role in organizing the set-up and tear-down of Helping Services' Holiday Lights display.

Chamber of Commerce members also recognized three of their own on Monday.  Meg Storkamp was honored for stepping in and volunteering her time as a front desk receptionist after some staff changes occurred at DACC, while DACC board members Bill Holland and Lauri Parish were recognized for their service as well.
