Since mid-December decorahnews.com has posted several stories about how a proposed concert by Mumford and Sons will NOT be held in Decorah, despite the interest on the part of concert promoters. You can visit those stories at these links:

As our previous stories stated, the sticking point on bringing the concerts to Decorah was a decision by Luther College officials that they would not allow concert promoters to use Luther College property for camping by people attending the concert.
Now we can tell you the story has taken an ironic turn. Several sources have told us the new venue for the concert will be announced February 2nd—and that the new venue will not be Decorah and Luther College, but Waverly and Wartburg College.
That's right—even though one of the reasons Luther College officials cited for turning down the promoter's request was "that Luther's mission is educational," their rivals at Wartburg have given the go-ahead, according to several sources—and the 35,000 Mumford & Sons fans will be headed to Waverly this summer—and not to Decorah.
