Decorah School Board delays action on setting public hearing on start of school calendar

A delay on the part of the Iowa Department of Education in releasing guidelines on waivers for the start of the school year has caused the Decorah School Board to delay holding a public hearing on a school year starting date.

State officials are promising to release the guidelines soon, but they did not take action by Monday night's Decorah School Board meeting, so board members postponed setting a date for a public hearing.
