2014 was the "Best Year Ever" for Holiday Lights/Magical Nights

Helping Services for Northeast Iowa set an attendance record for the 2014 "Holiday Lights, Magical Nights" Christmas lighting display at the Decorah Campground.

Helping Services representatives say attendance during the 2014 display surpassed the previous record by 739 cars.  Volunteers greeted an average of 137 cars per night with an all time single night record of 281 cars just a few days before Christmas. 

Because of the higher attendance, freewill donations taken during the light display were the highest total ever.  With sponsorships and freewill donations, Helping Services for Northeast Iowa raised nearly 40 percent of its annual fundraising goal from "Holiday Lights."
