Calmar declares its trails are "tobacco-free"

The Calmar, City Council has voted to declare that trails in the community are tobacco-free.  That means that effective immediately no person will be allowed to use any form of tobacco on trails in Calmar.

Helping Services assisted the City of Calmar in developing the policy, as did South Winneshiek SODA (Students Opposed to Drugs and Alcohol) and the Winneshiek County ERASE Coalition.

Helping Services for Northeast will provide free of charge tobacco-free signs for the trails.
