The Investigation Discovery Channel--one of the cable TV channels run by the Discovery Network--will profile a 2001 Cresco murder on one of its upcoming shows.
"Murder Comes to Town" is a reality program profiling small town murder cases. At 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 2nd, the program will be devoted to the 2001 murder of then 25-year-old Angela Hyke and 8-year-old Ashley Lucas in Cresco.
24-year-old Clay Thomas of Atchinson, Kansas later confessed to the murders and is now spending time in prison. Thomas told his mother he committed the murders, but didn't know what. He was employed as a carnival worker for a company visiting Cresco and met Hyke and her daughter at the event.
Police said he killed the two in Cresco and then drove their bodies to Atkinson, Kansas, where he buried them. Police recovered the bodies and charged Thomas with two counts of first degree murder.
Investigation Discovery, which is available as Channel 192 for DISH customers, will air the episode about the Cresco murders as the final episode of this season's "Murder Comes to Town" on March 2nd.
