Ridgeway woman ticketed following Wednesday accident

A 58-year-old Ridgeway woman has been ticketed for Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening on South Mill Street and Frances Street.

Police say Rebecca Cox told them she did not see the yield sign at Mill Street as she was driving on Frances Street.  Cox applied the brakes on her car, but wasn't able to stop in time, hitting a car driven by 20-year-old Dominic Hayek of Fort Atkinson.

The accident caused a total of $14,000 in damages.  Both drivers decline medical assistance.
