Snowy conditions are being blamed for causing an accident on MIll Street

Snowy roads were blamed for a two-car accident on Water Street Sunday afternoon around 1:00 p.m.

60-year-old Gregory Iverson of Decorah stopped for a red light on Water Street at Mill Street.  69-year-old LInda Elkins of Decorah, who was driving a car behind Iverson, was unable to stop and hit the rear of Iverson's car.

The accident did $4,000 in total damages.  Because of the snowy conditions Elkins was not ticketed.
