14 fifth graders at North Winneshiek School have graduated from the DARE program.

DARE stands for "Drug Abuse Resistance Education," a program that seeks to prevent the use of drugs.  The Winneshiek County DARE program has been taught for many years by Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputy Tim Felton.  The DARE program runs for ten weeks and consists of information about the dangers of drug use.  Students who enter the program sign a pledge not to use drugs.
