January is Mentoring Month

January is the 14th annual "National Mentoring Month," a celebration aimed at raising awareness of mentoring programs in hopes of adding more mentors, youth, and supporters.   

At 11:00 a.m. Monday the Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors will sign a proclamation stating that January 2015 is National Mentoring Month.

On January 22nd mentoring participants and supporters will take part in Mentoring Day on the Hill in Des Moines, meeting with state legislators to share stories about the impact mentoring has made.
