(This story got our vote as the #9 local news story of 2014):

Lisa Radtke can remove the "Interim" from her title of Interim Chief Administrative Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center.

Winneshiek Medical Center and Mayo Clinic Health System leaders have announced that Radtke has been appointed to serve as the next Chief Administrative Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center.  Radtke replaces former Chief Administrative Officer Gretchen Dahlen, who left the hospital in May.

Radtke has worked for more than 30 years at Mayo Clinic Health System, serving 17 years as a behavioral health counselor and director, and 17 years in Human Resources and Organizational Learning and Development. She currently serves in the role of Regional Administrator for Human Resources for the Southwest Wisconsin Region. She holds a Master's of Science degree in Community Health and is a licensed social worker.

The Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees voted Wednesday evening to name Radtke the Chief Administrative Officer, but held off announcing the hire until Friday to allow time to contact the other candidates for the position.  Board of Trustees President Rick Burras said, "We've been impressed with Lisa's leadership and management skills over the past few months...(and) her experience and skills will be an asset as we plan for the future at the medical center."
