Decorah firefighters called to grain bin fire

The Decorah Fire Department was called to 1124 Big Canoe Road shortly before 10:)0 p.m. Friday because of the report of a grain bin fire.

Firefighters removed the corn from the bin and extinguished the fire.  The cause of the fire has not been officially determined, however the fire appears to have started in the middle of the bin, under the drying floor.

No damage estimae is available at this time.  No injuries were reported.

The Decorah Fire Department was assisted by the Winneshiek Medical Center paramedics.
