Christmas trees can be recycled

When Christmas Day is done and you've started to think about taking down your Christmas tree, you'll want to know that you can take it to the Decorah Street Department's facility on Railroad Avenue.

The Street Department says you'll need to remove all garland, tinsel, ornaments, lights, wires and other hangings before dropping off the tree.  No wreaths with wire and no flocked Christmas trees will be accepted.  The Street Department will collect trees through February 1st.
