The driver of a semi that rolled over on County W-40 Thursday morning has now been identified by Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies. He is 22-year-old Tracy Tweten of Decorah, who suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department was called to Highway W-40 south of Hesper after 8:30 Thursday morning, when a caller reported that a semi had rolled over and caught on fire.
The Mabel Fire Department and Decorah Fire Department responded to the scene, along with the Winneshiek County Ambulance and Iowa DOT Traffic Enforcement Department.
Sheriff's deputies say the tractor-trailer was a total loss. They have issued a ticket to Tweten for Operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle without a CDL license.
