Semi rolls over near Hesper, catches on fire

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department was called to Highway W-40 south of Hesper after 8:30 Thursday morning, when a caller reported that a semi had rolled over and caught on fire.

The Mabel Fire Department and Decorah Fire Department responded to the scene, along with the Winneshiek County Ambulance and Iowa DOT Traffic Enforcement Department.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center.  The tractor-trailer was a total loss.

The Sheriff's Department has not yet released the name of the semi driver.
