Black Hills Energy gets permission for two communication towers in Decorah

The City of Decorah has given Black Hills Energy permission to build two towers that will be used for remote gas meter readings in Decorah.

The utility had originally asked for permission to build four towers in the city, but the Board of Adjustment denied that request.  An amended request for a variance to allow construction of towers in the 1800 block of Old Stage Road and the 900 block of Park Street has now been approved by the commission.
