Military group awards NICC "Top School" designation

A magazine called "Military Advanced Education" has named Northeast Iowa Community College one of its "Top Schools" in the college and university guide it publishes.

The magazine evaluated over 600 institutions on their military culture, financial aid, flexibility, on-campus support and online support services.  The college guide is aimed at helping those with military credits for higher education to identify schools that follow best practices.

Among the special programs offered at NICC's Calmar campus is the "Vet2Vet Mentor Program," a chapter of Student Veterans of America that was formed at NICC to provide networking opportunities and mentoring services for student veterans.
