Students in the NEICAC Child Development classroom in Decorah are learning about science--thanks to a STEM Scale Up Grant.
The funding has paid for the curriculum and materials needed to explore science in an interactive, engaging and safe manner. For instance, students talked about how real snow is made and then made artificial "Insta-Snow."
Future subjects will include exploring the three states of matter; exploring weather; learning about the six types of machines; and classifying and investigating insects.
