Pedestrian struck by a car on College Drive

The Decorah Police Department says a Decorah man was struck by a car Thursday morning around 8:00 at the College Drive and North Street intersection.

69-year-old Richard Williams was struck in the leg by a car driven by 30-year-old Urvashi Patel of Decorah.  Patel told police her view was obstructed by the low sun, so she was not ticketed.

Williams was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by ambulance.
