Posted: Mon, Nov 17, 2014 5:22 PM

A unique horse sculpture crafted by students at St. Benedicts School is being raffled to raise money for Thunder Rode and for the St. Benedicts Art Program.  The sculpture was crafted with guidance from St. Benedict School art teacher Sherri Holland and was inspired by the works of Japanese artist Sayaka Ganz.

Volunteers for Thunder Rode, a therapeutic horsemanship program that serves residents in Allamakee, Howard and Winneshiek counties, have begun working with St. Benedict's students to sell raffle tickets

Tickets are $1 and may be purchased from any St. Benedict's student, any Thunder Rode Board member, at Margaret's Boutique on Water Street and at the Waukon Horse Sale on December 13th.  They can also be bought by contacting Michelle at 563-419-8318.

The drawing will be held on the air at KVIK on December 15th.
