Decorah Police handle four weekend traffic accidents

Decorah Police were busy responding to traffic accidents over the weekend.

Friday afternoon 26-year-old Michelle Palmer of Decorah was ticketed for Failure to Maintain Control after she hit a parked car while driving on Pershing Street.  The accident caused a total of $9,000 in damages.

Friday night a deer hit a car driven by 42-year-old Kristie Hagensick of Waukon as she was driving on Highway 9 in Decorah, causing $10,000 in damages.

On Saturday evening snowy roads were blamed for a crash on Washington Street at Railroad avenue involving vehicles driven by 31-year-old Erin Montoya of Decorah and 34-year-old Chad Klegseth of Decorah.  The accident caused $15,000 in damages.

On Sunday evening 47-year-old Brad Johansen was stopped on Montgomery Street for the traffic light at Highway 9 when a car driven by 25-year-old Rachel Kemp struck his car from behind, causing a total of $6,500 in damages.
