The public gets its chance to talk about flooding and stormwater issues with University of Iowa researchers

It will be awhile before University of Iowa graduate students produce their recommendations about how the City of Decorah should handle flooding and stormwater issues in the city.

But an open house on Friday afternoon allowed members of the public a chance to give their input on the issues being studied by the students.

The City of Decorah has partnered with a student-led team from the University of Iowa School of Urban and Regional Planning to produce a comprehensive community wide plan for handling stormwater.  Recommendations are expected next summer
