A canvass of votes Monday from last Tuesday's general election in Winneshiek County showed very little change.
There were just three absentee votes that were added to Tuesday night's totals. Two provisional votes that had been cast but not counted on Tuesday night were thrown out because the voters did not return to the County Auditor's Office with proof of their residency.
Nine other ballots also were not counted because they either came in too late or had no postmark date. County officials are working with postal officials to make sure in the future that ballots get stamped with postmarks.
