Weekend accident causes $6,500 in damages

Decorah Police responded to a two-car accident Friday evening at HIghway 9 and Old Stage Road.

41-year-old Matthew Reams saw a green arrow for the left turn lane on Highway 9, but when he looked down, he saw a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Jo Berg Iverson stopped in the turn lane in front of him.  He ran into the back of Iverson's car, causing $6,500 in damages to her car.

There were no citations issued and both drivers drove their vehicles away.
