Charges filed in accident that blocked HIghway 9 for 45 minutes

A Postville woman, 53-year-old Matianne Raveill, has been ticketed for failure to maintain control following an accident Tuesday that blocked Highway 9 for almost 45 minutes.

Raveill was driving westbound on Highway 9 near Centennial Road when she could not stop for a truck and livestock trailer driven by 37-year-old Wayne Metcalf of West Union.  Metcalf was preparing to turn onto Centennial Road.

Raveill struck Metcalf's livestock trailer, ending up partially in the cargo area.

There were no injuries as a result of the accident.
