New movie will be shot in...Lansing, Iowa?

Whole Hearted Productions has announced plans to shoot its upcoming horror film called "The Burial" in Lansing, Iowa.  Filming is set to begin next summer. 

Writer/director Jack Meggers and Whole Hearted Productions President Kristine Hrycun will host a meet and greet for the public at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lansing Community Building.  Meggers and Hrycun will explain the concept of the film and the general locations for filming.

Meggers grew up in the Mason City area and is now based in Los Angeles. His short film "Frigid" was selected to participate in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013. He also worked as studio manager at Quixote Studios, home to the long-running TV series," Criminal Minds".

Hrycun is the producer of the film. Prior to teaming with Meggers to create Whole Hearted Productions, Hrycun worked in production and development at Rob Reiner's production company, Castle Rock Entertainment. She worked on "The Green Mile", " The Mist", "The Shawshank Redemption", Miss Congeniality" "Fracture" and "Michael Clayton ." She began her Hollywood career with Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment and Steven Bochco Productions.
