Positive signs for next year's Luther College enrollment?

As decorahnews.com reported earlier this fall, 2014-2015 enrollment at Luther College is down 81 students from last year's enrollment levels.

College officials are hoping that the figure represents a one year aberration, of course.  Now comes some encouraging news for next year's enrollment.

College officials say special events held on campus the week of October 13th that were aimed at potential new students for 2015-2015 attracted 443 students to campus. When parents, relatives and other guests are included in the figure, Luther had more than 1,000 visitors on campus.

Luther officials say it's the greatest number of visitors to campus in one week during the academic year.  They also say they received very positive comments from the visitors.
