17 Decorah High School music students are 2014 All State Music Festival selections.
56 Decorah High School musicians participated in the All-State Music auditions Saturday at West Delaware High School in Manchester. They competed for spots in the All-State ensembles.
Band students selected were Brenna Herrmann on oboe, Freddie Paulson on tuba and Jacob Skold on bari saxophone (alternate).
Orchestra students selected were Gabrielle Bruns on viola, Trevor Phillips on bass, Timothy Winter on cello and Carina Yee on violin.
Choral students selected were sopranos MacKenzie Snyder, Autumn DeLong, Ali Voigt and Annika Krieg; altos Linnea Carlson and Linnea Kephart; tenors Michael Foster and Parker Fretheim; and basses Adam Knight and Connor Freeman.
Three Decorah HS students were selected for a recall audition: Garret Baumler, tenor; Gable Lonning, tenor and Amanda Taylor, flute.
