The trial of a former Boone man accused of killing his wife will remain in Winneshiek County.
Prosecutors had requested that his trial be moved out of Decorah, but the Des Moines Register reports that Judge Michael Moon has denied a request by prosecutors to change the trial location because defense attorneys had spoken to a TV news reporter about the case.
The judge ruled that there was no evidence the attorney's statements had corrupted the jury pool.
Fazzino's trial had been scheduled to begin next week in Decorah, but it now will begin in January of February. A specific date has not been set yet.
