Ask Mr. Answer Person: "How many Book Clubs are there in Decorah?"

(Marilyn e-mails: "Mr. Answer Person-----friends and I were wondering how many different book clubs there are in Decorah?  We all know of several but none seem to be advertised or announced in any way.   So, do most of them have a closed membership?  We are curious as to the different ways groups select books.  Do groups keep track of what they have read?  We are a book group that has met for 20 plus years and have a list of all that we have read.  We are currently in process of re-structuring a day/time to meet, hence our curiosity about other formats.")

Well, actually, there is, and it's fairly informally organized, which I would imagine is true of several other book clubs.

So since there's no formal registry for Decorah book clubs, let's open up this question to our readers: "Are you a member of a Decorah book club?  If so, how does your club operate?"
