Letter to the Editor: Proud to support Barbara Massman

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Deborah Bishop of Decorah):

How proud I am of my friend Barbara Massman for raising the bar for women serving Winneshiek County and lending her voice at the Supervisor's table.  Thank you Barbara, for putting your intelligence and experience forward to the Supervisor's Board table as Naomi Craft and Rachel Vagts have in the past.  Women cannot win if they don't even try.  Naomi served the county well, and Rachel almost made it to the table.  We now have another opportunity to place a strong female voice at the table up in the Court House.

Thank you Barbara, for saying yes when someone asked you to serve.   Obviously this is not a male/female issue, as I happen to love Floyd Ashbacher for his good service all these years to Winneshiek County.  He has had a voice of reason as I know you will.   Hope you get to sit up there one day with our other friends, Barbara.
