Decorah Police report an assault

Decorah Police say a woman was assaulted in her home in the 300 block of East Main Street Monday night.

Police say the suspect entered the home through an unlocked back door and assaulted the woman in her kitchen.  The woman suffered minor injuries. 

The male suspect then fled the scene.  He is described as a white male, 5 foot 8 or 9, with some facial stubble and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, stocking hat and blue jeans.

Decorah Police say the description of the suspect and the location of the assault lead them to believe this may be the same suspect who is being sought for two indecent exposure cases reported last Thursday.

Police are telling the public to keep doors locked at all times, turn on exterior lights and report anything unusual to police.  Anyone with information related to these cases is being asked to contact the Decorah Police Department.
