The beautiful fall weather Decorah has been experiencing means the city has not yet hit a low of 32 degrees.
The National Weather Service says the average occurrence of a"light frost," which is defined as the temperature reaching 32 dgerees, is September 30th, while the average occurrence of a "killing frost," which is when the temperature reaches 28 degrees, is October 9th.
While some in low-lying areas might have recorded 32 degrees earlier this month, the official low in Decorah has not reached 32 degrees in September.
