(This story version corrects our math!)

As the chairman of the Mora County Commission, John Olivas, tours Winneshiek County and the Midwest to discuss his county's efforts to ban frac sand mining, there's one part of his resume that he hasn't been mentioning.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that Olivas "was soundly beaten" in a Democratic Party primary election in More County in June.  According to the newspaper, Olivas gathered 34 percent of the vote.

Olivas' election defeat means he will no longer be a Commissioner in 2015.
