A local fund drive and online fundraising have begun to raise money to buy a handicapped accessible vehicle equipped with assistive technology for 2014 Winneshiek County Fair Queen Lydia Dawley.
Dawley, who has cerebral palsy, but uses assisted technology to communicate and handle other tasks, will be attending college next fall. So the fund drive will run from now until July 31st of next year.
Monetary donations are being accepted at Fidelity Bank offices in Decorah, Waukon and Postville. More information can be found at http://www.gofundme.com/lydiaswheels
