Ask Mr. Answer Person: "What's going on at two Decorah buildings?"

Lynn e-mails: "What is going in the old shoe repair store and in the old Depot?  It looks like there is construction going on."

Mr. Answer Person says, "The work going on at the two buildings is the latest proof that Decorah has a vibrant economy.

The former shoe repair store on Washington Street will be the new location for From Grain to Glass, the Decorah business that sells home brewing supplies.

The former Depot Outlet building on Railroad avenue was purchased by a holding company in July.  The work going on inside the building now will convert it to use by several fitness facilities.  Part of the building will become the new location for Reefuel and B.Fit Studio, two businesses which are now located in a building on Water Street.  The new facilities will include shower space and street level parking for both businesses.  Both businesses hope to be in their new location mid- to late fall.
