Decorah School Board retains same officers and meeting schedule for upcoming year

On Monday night the Decorah Community School board re-elected Ron Fadness as Board President and Melanie Tietz as Vice-President. The Board also agree on continuing to meet at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month (at the District Office). Four months of the year, they will also meet early at 5:00 p.m. to tour the district school buildings, beginning next month with a tour of the Decorah Middle School.

Superintendent Mike Haluska also announced that Laura Raemakers will serve in a three year Shareholders appointment as the AEA (Area Education Agency)  representative; and Steve Haluska will be in the group as principal of St. Benedict School. There continue to be openings available for interested district residents.
