Letter to the Editor from Lawn Chair Night organizer

The organizer of 2014's Lawn Chair Night concerts, Nori Hadley, has submitted a Letter to the Editor:

Please allow me to say "Thank You" to the Decorah community for supporting live music performances during this summer's Lawn Chair Night concert series.  The artists did a spectacular job and offered their audiences a diverse range of musical styles.  Thanks especially to Cindy Simpson and the members of the Downtown Decorah Betterment Association for sponsoring this enriching annual event.

Thank you also to Marcia McKelvey, Decorahnews.com, Decorah Newspapers, Decorah Chamber of Commerce, Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inspire(d) Media, DecorahNow.com, and the Decorah Police and Street departments for assistance with logistics and publicity.  Please excuse me if I overlooked any individuals or organizations who also offered their help.  Your efforts were appreciated.
 
Special thanks to the Self-Sustaining Municipal Improvement District (SSMID) for providing publicity signage in two locations.  The sandwich boards, placed weekly on Water Street and 5th Avenue, alerted both residents and visitors to Lawn Chair Night events.  

Thank you again to everyone who ventured downtown for what has become a Thursday night summer tradition!
