Three more public presentations about mining will be given in the future

The Winneshiek County Board is inviting three more speakersto give presentations on topics related to industrial mineral mining.
On Monday, September 22nd , Allamakee CountyEngineer Brian Ridenour was discuss the effect industrial mine sites have onthe county roads and bridges nearby.
On Monday, September 29th, Dr. Peter Thorne fromthe University of Iowa will discuss the results of his study of the healthimpacts of particular matter created by industrial mining.
On Monday, October 13th, University of IowaAssociate Clinic Professor David Osterberg will discuss the potential effectsof industrial frac sand mining on water quality and tourism.
All three presentations will begin at 12:00 noon and will beheld in the third floor large courtroom of the Winneshiek County Courthouse.
