The Winneshiek County Extension Office has a new County Youth Coordinator. Trevor Rockwell will be in charge of youth development opportunities through the Winneshiek County 4-H program.
Rockwell grew up in Maquoketa, but has lived in Northeast Iowa for a total of nine years. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Luther College, he spent two years outside Northeast Iowa teaching K-8 Physical Education and Health. Five years ago he returned to Northeast Iowa and has been teaching physical education and health, as well as Driver's Education with NICC Cresco Center for Howard-Winneshiek Schools.
Said Rockwell, "I have always been excited about working with youth to provide them with the tools to be successful in the future. Working with the youth in 4-H will allow me to reach a wider audience in order to affect their lives in a positive way."
