HSNEI has begun selling tickets for its grand opening celebration

The Humane Society of NE Iowa will hold a grand opening for its Adoption Center from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13th at the Danan Lansing Building on the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds.

Tickets to this celebration and fundraiser are $40 each and include entertainment, drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres.  All proceeds go to support operation of the Adoption Center.

In honor of the grand opening, eleven local artists have painted cat and dog statues:  arl Homstad, Lindsey Lee, Mary Ann Gloe, ArtHaus Camp, Bonnie Koloc, Nancy Sojka, Jim Updegraff, Emma Breitenstein, Christine Minear, Faith Vilardo, and Laurel Fadness.  Nine of these statues will be auctioned off online at www.hsnei.org beginning September 1st, with the auction concluding live at the September 13th Grand Opening.

The statues can be seen at 118 Water Street in Decorah and at www.hsnei.org. In addition, live entertainment will be provided by Bonnie Koloc, Ellen Rockne, and the Decorah High School Choir.
