Park-Rec: Thanks to those who helped with "G2G"

Decorah Park-Rec Director Andy Nimrod has submitted this Letter to the Editor:

"On behalf of the Get2Gether (G2G) Committee and the Decorah Parks and Recreation Department, I would like to thank the community for supporting our first ever G2G event, a summer carnival for adults with special needs, held at Whalen Cabin in Phelps Park.
 
Generous donations made it possible to offer this as a free event for all participants.  A special thank you to lead donors; Hacker, Nelson & Company, Wicks Construction, Bodensteiner Implement Company, Mabe's Pizza and Culvers.  The Luther College football team served as volunteers, bringing lots of energy and fun to the event. 

The Committee is pleased with the success of this inaugural event and plans are already underway for another G2G gathering.
