Decorah Parks & Recreation Department officials say they're pleased with the results of Thursday night's "Get 2 Gether" summer carnival for adults with special needs.

Luther College football players and coaches volunteered, leading games, dancing, and socializing with participants throughout the evening. The carnival was a free event with a number of activities including bean bag toss, ladder golf, sand volleyball, bingo, a basketball shoot, a football toss, a photo booth and music by the Buck Hollow Band.

The event was the first of its kind hosted by Decorah Parks & Recreation, and was made possible through donations, sponsorships, and volunteers.
