Mr. Answer Person is asked about two new businesses

The new Dollar Tree store

E-mails, we get e-mails:

Don asks: "Do you know when the Dollar Tree store will be open?"

Mr. Answer Person says: "Soon.  The store, which is located in the former Wal-Mart building in the Centrum Plaza, has been interviewing people for employment this week.

Our efforts to reach a company official who could tell us about a planned opening date failed, but based on hiring going on this week, it would be safe to predict an early September opening for the business.

Jon, Bob and several others ask: "what is the construction going on one of the Walmart Real Estate sites?"

Mr. Answer Person says, "O'Reilly Auto Parts is building a store across from the Wal-Mart supercenter.  The company won site plan approval from the Decorah City Council earlier this summer, so construction has begun.
