July was cooler, dryer than normal

The temperature in Decorah in July averaged 68.8 degrees Fahrenheit.  That was 3.7 degrees cooler than normal, according to Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz.

Bernatz says temperatures ranged from 46 degrees on July 3rd to 91 degrees on July 22nd.  The average high of 79.9 degrees in July was 4.7 degrees lower than the average for the past 118 years.
