HSNEI is holding a mascot naming contest

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa is holding a contest to name the mascots that will greet visitors at the new Love and Friendship Adoption Center, under construction at 2345 Millenium Road in Decorah.
The mascots are large dog and large cat fiberglass statues decorated by Faith Villardo (DHS 2014) and Laurel Fadness (DHS 2016). The winners of the contest will have their names on a plaque at the Adoption Center.
To enter, go to the HSNEI website at www.hsnei.org. Contestants must decide which statue they are naming (dog or cat), the name, and explain in 25 words or less why they have chosen that name.
Contest deadline is August 31st. The winners will be announced by September 13th.
